Palo Alto, Calif. - November 22, 2005 - Fortify Software, the leader in securing software from the inside out, today announced that it has won Under the Radar Innovation Award for the Datacenter category at IBDNetworks Under the Radar event held on November 16 in Mountain View, CA. Fortify was chosen from eight competing early stage companies in the Datacenter category to receive an award, based on its technology, market opportunity, and unique value proposition, by a panel of judges from leading venture capital firms. A total of 32 companies presented at Under the Radar.
Judges hailed from leading venture capital firms such as Accel Partners, Allegis Capital, Hummer Winblad, Intel Capital, JPMorgan Partners, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Morganthaler Ventures, SAP Ventures, and Trident Capital. Industry insiders such as Michael Copeland, senior writer at Business 2.0, Tom Foremski, editor of Silicon Valley Watcher and Steve Fox, editor-in-chief of InfoWorld moderated the sessions.
